Employees Get Fit For Fun
Employees from Blakemore Food Service and Logistics have helped local schoolchildren get 'Fit for Fun' at an annual action-packed sports event held at Tipton Sports Academy.
The Blakemore teams along with seven local companies entered teams of volunteers to help get the message to local school pupils that being active and healthy is fun and worthwhile.

The kids were kept on the move as they completed activities, games and courses devised by each of the teams.
Organised by Business in the Community's volunteering programme, the event encourages local businesses to get involved with schoolchildren by running the healthy-living related activities.

A F Blakemore's Warehouse Operative Andy Burn said: "We are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve and as a food distributor the Fit for Fun event was a great opportunity to spread the healthy lifestyle message in a fun way to schoolchildren.
"Our teams ran two events; rounders and an educational obstacle course. The pupils had a great time and the weather was perfect."
Budding Olympian heptathlete Louise Hazel was also at the event to encourage the children to get more involved in sport.
